Elections
Dear members,
I would like to thank everyone that attended our last general meeting at
Ellicottville Brewing Company. It was a great time to catch up and see
everyone over a great meal.
The Western New York Macintosh Users Group is holding elections for the
board positions. Below you will find a description of the duties of each
position.
If you are interested or would like to nominate another WNYMUG member for
any of the positions, please email me at mccune@fredonia.edu by July 24th.
Convener – The Convener shall facilitate all meetings of the membership and
the WNYMUG Core.
Secretary – The Secretary shall notify members of all meetings of the WNYMUG
Core; shall keep records of all meetings; and shall safely keep all
documents and papers that come into his/her possession by virtue of his/her
office.
Treasurer – The Treasurer shall keep or cause to be kept an account of all
monies received and expended by the organization and shall make
disbursements authorized by the WNYMUG Core. He/she shall deposit, or cause
to be deposited, monies of the organization to the credit of the
organization in such bank or banks approved by the WNYMUG Core. He/she shall
provide a monthly treasurer’s report.
Webmaster – The Webmaster shall be responsible for the maintenance, and
improvement of the WNYMUG.com webpage, They will also be responsible for
making recommendations to the WNYMUG Core for any changes in upgrading of
hosting, or any other services that may be required. He/she shall also be in
charge of the monthly newsletter of the organization.
SUNY Fredonia Liaison– The SUNY Fredonia Liaison shall be responsible for
maintaining a working relationship with SUNY Fredonia. They shall reserve
SUNY Fredonia facilities as required; coordinate through University Police
parking for core and general meetings. They shall also represent WNYMUG in
pertaining to the pursuit of any funding and promotional opportunities
through SUNY Fredonia.
Community Liaison – The Community Liaison shall be responsible for
maintaining a working relationship with the community. They shall reserve
community facilities as required for core and general meetings. They shall
also represent WNYMUG in pertaining to the pursuit of any funding and
promotional opportunities through the community.
Apple Ambassador - The Apple Ambassador shall be the primary contact between
Apple and WNYMUG.
If you have any questions on what is involved with the positions, please let
us know. All of these positions are a great way to be involved with the
group and help shape the future direction of it.
Elections will be conducted online through Survey Monkey. We will send out
an email with voting directions during the week of July 27th.
